About Merry Christmas From Heaven

When my mother, Rita Mooney, died in August of 1989, I was devastated. As the holidays approached, I came to realize even more what Christmas Eve had become and what it now meant to my family. It is my parents wedding anniversary and a night we all came together to celebrate. We celebrated my parent's anniversary and the birth of Jesus. Christmas Eve is a family tradition. Now how could we celebrate? It was late October, and with my heart breaking, I said a prayer. In the next moment the thought, "What would my mother say?" came to me. She was remarkable and was always there for her family. That night she confirmed her daily gifts of love, loyalty to family, music, and most of all, her undying faith. My prayer answered in writing the words of "Merry Christmas from Heaven." It was then I knew my mother would always be with us, especially on Christmas Eve. I was comforted and at peace. Within months, "Merry Christmas from Heaven" took on a life of its own. It was then my family and I began our journey. This journey has brought "Merry Christmas from Heaven" to you today.
