About Ilex Home

Hey, I'm Holly - owner and creator of Ilex Home! I started this venture in 2021 after dabbling in creative self-employment. Ilex has evolved from making plant hangers in my living room, to creating a whole range of home décor in my art studio in West Yorkshire, and trading at artisan markets up and down the country. I have taken my products in a few directions since 2021, trying to find my niche; from fashioning macramé hangers to adorn houseplants, to celebrating the LGBTQ+ community with pride rainbows, to creating functional art to organise the home. Along the way, I realised that what these all have in common is an expression of individual style and a desire to furnish the home in a way that celebrates that. I believe that your home should be your sanctuary, a place that truly feels like your own and reflects who you are. In my work, I hope to create pieces that feel like a little piece of you - pieces to adorn your home to make it that much more special to you. Currently, I am trading at artisan markets around Leeds, Sheffield, York, Manchester and Liverpool. Markets have played a huge role in the development of my business - they have given me the opportunity to connect with my customers in-person, finding out what they like, what they don't like, what else they'd like to see from me, which has given me valuable insight and allowed me to create the best possible products for my audience.
