Shop More Brands on FaireDGZ Chocolate was founded in 1999 by Debbie Zissman and her husband, after she owned and operated a chocolate shop with her mother since 1983. After selling the shop in 2001, they focused their efforts entirely on DGZ Chocolates, developing new recipes for their signature items. In 2018, Debbie sold the business to her long-time friend Sara Ostrofsky, who operates the business with her daughters, building upon the wonderful foundation that Debbie established. DGZ Chocolates continues to be a family owned business and provides the finest Houston toffee and tasty treats to chocolate lovers nation-wide. Our signature product is our award-winning toffee, Toffarazzi. It's made by hand in small batches with creamy Swiss-recipe milk chocolate and freshly roasted California almonds with the same recipe for over 20 years. Our toffee is the perfect holiday treat to share with friends and family, and we also offer custom packaging options for wedding favors, special occasion gifts, and corporate or business gifts. Our Toffarazzi was awarded Gold for overall Top Toffee by the International Chocolate Salon at the 2020 Artisan Toffee Awards, along with Gold for Best Taste. In 2021, Toffarazzi was awarded Gold for Best Texture and Silver for Top Toffee, although the judges were torn, claiming it was a "virtual tie" between our toffee and another competitor.
