About Junk Girls

The Junk Girls was born in 2009 out of Art Therapy for Jenny and Melissa’s love for all things handmade. Together, we focus on creating Art, Lighting, Furniture, Jewelry and Home Decor. We strive to create using recycled, repurposed, vintage, antique and found items. We started this amazing journey after working in Corporate for 18+ years, with the goal of putting our collective skill sets in Art & Design together to do something meaningful that would make a difference for both ourselves and others. Jenny creates the art & lighting and Melissa creates the metal stamped pieces. You see, as a little girl, Jenny would collect what others considered junk and create art with it. Many years later this process again became her art therapy. As you will find in our collections, we focus on positive words and phrases, using items that others might consider junk to create something meaningful & beautiful. We started selling our work in vintage and craft fairs, then opened our brick and mortar store in 2014. The designs we will be offering here are both OUR favorites, and our customer's favorites, all of which reflect our brand philosophy.
