My name is Ty Jackson and I am the founder of POSHnFIT. POSHnFIT is a certified woman owned and minority owned company and is headquartered in the city of Detroit. The POSHnFIT brand creates products to motivate busy women to create their best lives “on purpose” through practicing self-care. Specifically, we aim to encourage women to practice healthy living via incorporating physical fitness into their daily busy schedules in hopes of reducing the potential onset of lifestyle induced illnesses. Our signature product, the "Grab It and Go Fitness Travel Duffel," makes it easier to get organized and ready to squeeze a daily workout into a busy schedule. We at POSHnFIT want women to make themselves a priority and to understand that “Self-Care is not Selfish”, It’s Mandatory. I made the decision to spread this message due to my personal encounter with strong women in my family who chose their families, jobs, and other responsibilities of life over taking care of themselves. These choices showed up in the form of lifestyle illnesses like, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and end stage kidney disease. Wondering whether better self-care could have saved my mother’s life is what drives me to want to get this message out to the world.
