About The Color Grae

I create fine art ink illustrations of plants, predominantly working in black and white. A few times a year I also work on an ever-changing collaborative series with my daughters. Each piece is inspired by the beauty of the natural world and lovingly made in my home studio. I have found that wearing the hats of both artist and mother has helped me gain a new appreciation for the natural world and an insatiable thirst for creativity. The Color Grae was born after my children, while trying to regain some of my sense of self after entering motherhood. In 2016 I reached back to my creative roots and started drawing the little plants that were bringing me joy in my day to day. What started with a few succulents has grown into a careful observation and appreciation for drawing all sorts of flora. Read their story
