Whistlefish began nearly 30 years ago on a kitchen table in Cornwall, when artist and founder Lyn Thompson started painting and selling beautifully illustrated cards inspired by the coastline, nature and everyday moments around her. What started as a small family business has since grown into one of the UK’s most loved greeting card and gifting brands, while still staying true to the creativity, warmth and personal touch it was built on. Now in our 30th year, Whistlefish sells millions of cards each year across our stores and online, with every design created to help people celebrate life’s meaningful moments and say the words that matter. Our in house artists continue to hand paint and illustrate collections from our Cornwall studio, with quality and craftsmanship at the heart of every product, from foiled and embossed finishes to sustainably sourced materials and recyclable packaging. As a proudly Cornish business, we are passionate about supporting local suppliers, British manufacturing and giving back to the community around us. We regularly work with charities and community partners to raise awareness and support important causes, while continuing to champion thoughtful connection in an increasingly digital world.
