About Vertigo Vending

The idea started in 2019 when our founder Shelley found herself working in an office that was in need of some cheer. Finding traditional thank you cards too formal, she was seeking a way to share appreciation and gratitude in an easier way. The idea was a simple - a small and beautiful print you would want to keep, with room for a personal note discreetly on the back. In 2020, Shelley moved to Boise, Idaho and founded Leave a Smile Co (Formally Takki). We strive to design beautiful and sustainable products you will be happy to keep and share with those around you. From the beginning, Leave a Smile Co. has been dedicated to sourcing from the community. We are proud to be owned, designed, and printed in Boise, Idaho. We are committed to using recycled materials and are aiming to be plastic-free both in product and packaging. We hope one day to be a certified B Corp and continue to build our support for environmental advocacy. An admitted Pacific Northwest fanatic, Shelley feeds her addiction to the great outdoors by exploring Idaho’s backwoods. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, she studied communication and conflict resolution at Portland State University. She is a lover of vacation planning, tacos, and rivers, currently residing in west Boise. You can find her trying to pet all the dogs or on a quest to find the perfect Old Fashioned. Read their story
