About Simone Bruns

The Wahlhamburgerin Simone Bruns has been an internationally recognized figure in the art and charity scene for years. Through numerous spectacular fundraising galas and benefit auctions, she has raised a total of around 1.5 million euros for social projects worldwide. A particular success was an auction in 2014 in favor of Welthungerhilfe (WHH), where photographs by renowned artists were auctioned. In this event alone, Bruns raised about 200,000 euros to provide long-term support to poor farming families in Sierra Leone. To this day, the money enables these families to sustainably reclaim their fields and better market their organic cocoa. Simone Bruns describes this experience as a turning point in her life: "It was incredibly fulfilling to give people on the other side of the world new perspectives through my network." Inspired by this experience, she founded her label CASHMERE COUTURE | SIMONE BRUNS in 2015. After the devastating earthquake disaster in Nepal, she developed the idea of creating a global alliance together with local cashmere producers and home workers, which primarily strengthens women in rural areas socially and economically.
