About Babylissima

The Babylissima project was born during a difficult period amid COVID, when Simay, a single mother of two beautiful daughters, faced the loss of her father while on maternity leave. Originally from Turkey but living abroad for 15 years, Simay found strength in this brand to carry on, despite life testing her with a painful separation. She continued raising her daughters alone, in a country that wasn’t her own, without any support, dividing her time between working as an account manager at a software company during the day and managing Babylissima in the evening, packing boxes with her own hands. Unfortunately, due to organizational changes, she lost her job. Despite holding a degree, an MBA, and knowing five languages, including Japanese, she struggled to find new employment. At that moment, she decided to invest everything in Babylissima, and the brand began to grow, yielding significant results. All of our products are designed and made by women who carry stories of resilience with them. Through their craftsmanship, we support their economic independence. Babylissima is a silent protest against excessive consumerism, the abandonment of the connection with nature, and the lack of respect towards it. We collaborate with prestigious hospitals in Italy, providing special blankets, muslin swaddles, and onesies created specifically for neonatal units (CTU).
