About Desired-Design

Hi! We are Jort and Petra Wildenborg, two product designers with a huge passion for design and craftmanship and the owners of Desired-Design. Due to our study as Industrial Product Designers, we have an interest in modern techniques like lasercutting. We like to involve the technique in the design. For example the black edges of the jewellery we designed. But we also love to work with our hands! A lot of the items of Desired-Design are handmade. All the porcelain items are handmade in our own workshop. We cast, finish, glaze and bake all our items by ourselves. Due to all the handcraft each product is unique. Also the glaze turns out different every time, this makes it such a wonderfull process. In the hexagon wall collection we combine the handcraft and industrial techniques. The wooden, mirror and steel panels are lasercutted. The organizers are handmade from leather and felt. A lovely combination! Read their story
