Your trend editors are back with the Valentine’s Day predictions we know you’re going to fall in love with. Did you know that while searches on Faire for “Valentine” peak in January, they actually start rising in November? While the holiday season may be upon us, the time to start your Valentine’s Day research and buying is now. In fact, brands have already started adding Valentine’s Day products to the Faire catalog, with uploads doubling from August to September.
And this isn’t just a coincidence: Valentine’s Day 2026 is poised to build on record-breaking spending trends from 2025. According to the National Retail Federation, consumers spent a staggering $27.5 billion on Valentine’s Day last year with the categories of jewelry ($6.5 billion), evening out ($5.4 billion), flowers ($2.9 billion), candy ($2.5 billion), and greeting cards ($1.4 billion) leading the way.
With this data in mind, we’re providing you with your perfect match: Faire’s current and historic Valentine’s Day insights plus our on-trend gift ideas to help your shop set the mood for shoppers with Valentine’s Day gifts they’ll love.
Jewelry trends: Thoughtful, sentimental, and personalized

Last year, searches for jewelry spiked 39% between December and January. This shouldn’t be surprising, of course, since jewelry is a Valentine’s Day stalwart. But what type of jewelry is the real question?
Last year, gold jewelry dominated Valentine’s Day demand on Faire, generating nearly twice the interest of silver jewelry. Moreover, retailers preferred gold options when paired with sentimental motifs, such as hearts, initials, and lockets, while silver jewelry saw higher volume in personalized or engraving-friendly formats. In the last three months, demand for gold jewelry has more than tripled the demand for silver (despite the rising cost of gold), and the top-selling gemstones have been pearl, turquoise, and diamonds.
According to jewelry retailer Brilliant Earth, the company expects to see statement gemstones, zodiac pieces, and personalized jewelry among the most popular trends in 2026. “The appeal is clear: These pieces go beyond adornment to become wearable memories and connections,” they report. Stylecaster agrees: It’s the pieces that tell a story that are the most giftable, whether an initial pendant charm bracelet or an engraved heart necklace.
For those jewelry trends fresh off the runway, we’re looking at Vogue: beaded necklaces, oversized gemstones, colossal flowers, crystal-clear cuffs, and flattened silhouettes showcased a mix of high and low, bold and minimalist pieces gracing the runways for the 2026 season.
Need some inspiration? Here are a few of our favorites:
- Gold heart charm bracelet: Perfectly dainty, stackable, easy to wear, and easy to love.
- Handmade gold zodiac pendant necklace: For those who live by their star sign.
- Olive You locket: A cheeky locket for the martini-obsessed.
- Custom name necklace: Personalized jewelry is always in style.
- Gold heart ring: A statement-making accessory (without the diamond price tag).
- Baroque, boho bracelet: A vintage-inspired piece perfect for a Galentine’s Day celebration.
- Mismatched flower earrings: The nontraditional V-day gift for a nontraditional giftee (who still wants something nice!).
- Pearl bow earrings: A twist on the classic pearl earrings: bigger, bolder, yet still dainty and feminine.
- Turquoise tennis bracelet: Partake in the stone of the moment with this layerable bracelet.
- Luna diamond ring: Just a few tiny diamonds in a perfect (sparkly) everyday ring.
Greeting cards that show their love

Despite our digital world, GreetingCard.com’s most recent study (in 2022) about the popularity of physical gift cards shows growth in the category, signaling that consumers still value card-giving to show how much they care. When they asked respondents to write in their top three design trends, the most popular were florals with a twist, illustrated animals, and current pop culture and social causes, among others. CNN’s 2025 analysis of 600 Hallmark Valentine’s cards noted more than half of the cards featured hearts on the front.
On Faire in 2024, searches for greeting cards spiked 90% between December and January. We found that sentimental cards tend to outsell funny ones, accounting for nearly 97% of all Valentine’s Day card sales.
We’ve got quite a few cards on Faire that fit into these categories. For the Gen Z set, this I love you more than Diet Coke card sets a high bar. Here’s a classic For my favorite person card. And one that proclaims, You’re my everything bagel. A handmade letterpress heart with a simple I love you is minimalist and beautiful, while this You, me, + the dog (with a pawprint) is the perfect expression of love for a partner and your four-legged companion. But if sarcastic cards are more your persuasion, this You’re lucky you found me…you usually can’t find anything fits the bill.
Galentine’s Day for celebrating friendship

Here’s more news we love from the National Retail Federation about Galentine’s Day: “One-third (32%) of consumers also plan to purchase gifts for friends this Valentine’s Day, up from 28% last year and the highest in the survey’s history. Another 19% expect to purchase gifts for coworkers, up from 16% in 2024 and another record. On par with last year, 32% also plan to purchase gifts for their pets.”
Even The Food Institute has taken note of an uptick in Galentine’s Day reservations: In an early February survey from this year, 25% of respondents said they planned to celebrate Galentine’s Day.
And how is that being reflected on Faire? Product uploads to the Faire catalog containing the word “Galentine” increased 250% between August and September. Here are a few of our favorite Galentine’s Day gift ideas.
- The greeting card: Besties for the resties.
- The affirmation cards: Cheeky, but loving.
- The candle: Sweet smells, asking the real questions.
- The party game: For making memories.
- The plates: Making a statement, and prioritizing ease.
- The balloon banner: The finishing touch on a sweet new tradition.
All the sweets

No surprise that chocolate and sweets are wildly popular when it comes to Valentine’s Day. Last year, retailer searches for chocolate spiked 51% on Faire from December to January, exceeding the holiday season by 16%, and searches for candy followed a similar pattern. Despite rising cocoa prices, consumers are willing to shell out to buy their loved ones something sweet: Last year, Valentine’s Day chocolate sales increased by 512%, according to Confectionery News!
As for the trends to look out for in 2026, Confectionery News also reports personalization, premiumization, and ultralimited editions were all the rage at this year’s Tax Free World Association Show. When it comes to going premium, pistachio continued to be popular at the show, with top brands, like Lindt and Ritter, launching pistachio-themed collections. We love Ferrero’s take on personalization, featuring QR codes for customers to record voice memos along with their sweet treats.
Looking for something just as sweet on Faire? Here are some ideas.
