Trending winter apparel brands

Despite summer barely being over, now’s the time to start thinking about your winter wear catalog. This year is all about cozy knits, vibrant designs, and luxury twists on timeless classics.

Take inspiration from our selection of innovative brands and fill your shelves with warm wardrobe fodder to keep the winter blues at bay. We’ve curated a selection of stand-out winter collections to make your shop pop as temperatures start to drop.

1. Chinti & Parker

Chinti & Parker has a strong celeb following, with the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Mary Berry donning its colorful knitwear.

The London-founded brand is on a mission to invigorate women’s wardrobes with timeless shapes, innovative textures, and joyful designs—something that founders Anna Singh and Rachael Wood felt was missing from their own wardrobes. The clothing line includes a comfy mix of high-quality knits and everyday essentials that combine a boyish refined style with bold color and wit.

2. Nenya

Fashion designer Yana was forced to flee Ukraine and leave her lingerie business behind when bombs started to fall outside her home. She arrived in Huddersfield, Yorkshire, with little to her name but was eager to restart her business in the UK.

Now, Yana uses Nenya as a platform to promote Ukrainian designers and their creations, from neutral knits to stylish two-pieces and kitsch cardigans. As the business grows, Yana continues to raise awareness of the Ukraine war and support fellow refugees in the UK by buying and selling their products and providing them with work.

3. Country of Origin

There’s something nicely nostalgic about Country of Origin’s knits being made in the historic knitting town of Wigston, England. With a range of bright knits and bold designs, the brand brings a touch of the unconventional to an age-old English tradition. Each piece is made from natural materials, and the brand works hard to pay its makers a living wage.

4. Garance Paris

While cozy knits conjure visions of lazy afternoons reading on the sofa, Garance makes knitwear for active women—or, as it puts it, “those who leave for work by subway, hate waiting in line, and escape on the weekends.”

Each collection is inspired by a material chosen for its quality and color. It’s then transformed into timeless, elegant additions to the busy women’s wardrobe.

5. STUDIO CASHMERE8

Born from four friends’ love of cashmere, STUDIO CASHMERE8 is committed to producing beautiful garms while preserving ecological balance. The growth of the brand was nourished by regular travels through Mongolia, where the founders fell in love with simple moments, the copper landscape of the Gobi Desert, and easy-living yurts.

Each piece is made in a short cycle with absolute quality control, from harvesting the raw materials to knitting the cashmere. The founders strive to diminish the impact of human activities on the environment, something that imbues every STUDIO CASHMERE8 piece, like this unusual cashmere two-piece trouser set.

6. MRZ

Femininity and tailoring meet sportswear elements to create MRZ’s unique collections.

Innovative processes and the experimental use of yarns sit at the heart of the brand, which was the exciting vision of the Marziali family in 2012. From simple lines to futuristic designs, the brand is reinventing classic winter wear and has been named one of the best emerging Italian brands by Vogue Talents.

7. All Row

All Row is an LA-based brand that brings together quality and value in its collections. Pieces are simple and bold, often turning a classic shape into something new and exciting, like this green quilted jacket with a ribbon-tie front.

8. Lanhtropy

Lanhtropy works with family-owned production partners in Vietnam to create timeless designs and stylish lines.

The brand is on a mission to make women feel sophisticated, confident, and feminine while maintaining a busy, active lifestyle. Inspired by the beach, wind, and sun in Miami, each unique piece is made using 100% linen fibers, making the collection a warm winter option for colder days.

9. wetheknot

Founded in Lisbon by designers Filipe Cardigos and Sérgio Gemeiro, wetheknot’s philosophy is rooted in simplicity and minimalism. The brand is all about slow fashion produced locally in Portugal to promote sustainability and social and environmental good. Quality over quantity is the brand’s motto—something that drives its decision to ditch trends and instead create collections that are expertly crafted by local partners.

10. Hilary MacMillan

Toronto-based Hilary MacMillan is renowned for its collection of contemporary pieces in timeless silhouettes. Each piece is made using high-quality, cruelty-free fabrics in bold colors and innovative textures.

Everything is sampled at the Toronto studio, with 50% of products produced in Canada itself. The brand is women-owned and is committed to giving back to like-minded causes. This year’s winter collection features statement outerwear, luxe fabrics, and designs that are rich in texture and color.

11. Cara & the Sky

Female-founded, sustainable brand Cara & the Sky was the brainchild of a British-born designer with a passion for beautifully colorful knitwear.

All designs are consciously crafted in-house with unique twists, colors, and stitch combinations. This provides a boutique designer feel at affordable prices. Cara creates everything locally in the UK to reduce the brand’s carbon footprint and support the British-made fashion industry, and each collection is produced in small-batch runs to promote slow fashion.
