Welcome back to the Faire Fashion Index, our guide to the past month’s top sartorial searches to keep you on the cusp of what’s trending today.

It’s June. School’s out. Camp is in full swing. The cicadas are most definitely buzzing. And shoppers are doing what they do best: scouring for the season’s hottest trends. It’s clear from the data that the Fourth of July is on everyone’s mind. From crystal-embellished headbands with tiny American flag pins to “Land of the Free” graphic tees and trucker hats stamped with 1776, retailers are taking what’s cool and infusing it with a solid dose of Americana for the upcoming holiday.

They’re also continuing to stock up on summer staples, like everyday rompers, denim shorts, and knit dresses. We’re excited to see two fresh trends this month in our top 10:

  1. Linen clothing, a surefire hit for summer as temps go high. From breezy linen pants to airy sleeveless tops (and linen sets!), it’s the perfect material to keep the heat at bay.
  2. Kimonos, a simple Japanese-inspired accessory that adds style, color, and a bit of boho influence to any outfit—whether you wear it over a bathing suit at the beach, as your favorite loungewear, or with denim shorts and a tee. We expect to see more of these as the summer goes on.

But for now, let’s dive into the data.

  1. Fourth of July: Red, white, and blue for head-to-toe Americana.
  2. Dresses: From cotton to denim, mini to maxi, everyone wants dresses for their summer wardrobe.
  3. Trucker hats: The street and runway style that tops this chart month after month.
  4. Rompers: The ultimate one-and-done outfit.
  5. Shorts: From colorful track shorts to high-rise cutoffs.
  6. Summer tops: Ruffled blouses, ribbed tanks, and layerable camis to meet the moment.
  7. Graphic tees: Spouting rock ’n’ roll lyrics, patriotic spirit, and custom quotes for your next celebration.
  8. Linen clothing: Light, breezy, and endlessly chic for warm days ahead.
  9. Kimonos: To wrap yourself in color and style.
  10. Boho clothing: Think: Effortless dressing, from crochet tops and floral skirts to printed wraps and flowy smocked dresses.

1. Cotton mini dresses and rompers: For super easy, everyday rompers in a variety of colors, check out LA-based VERY J. Have shoppers who need more work-ready looks? In february has plenty of sophisticated, handmade dresses, while ePretty will meet you somewhere in the middle, with transitional pieces that’ll take shoppers from work to play—like its boho-inspired crochet-trim romper, which we’d style with a denim jacket and a pair of Birks.

2. Lounge shorts and boxer shorts: Elle reports that boxer shorts should no longer be relegated to the underwear drawer. In fact, they’re “the perfect accompaniment to sticky summer days.” Help consumers stock up on this new street-style trend with boxers and lounge shorts in a variety of colorways from Rosa Clothing, Miss Love (whose gauze striped boxers come with a matching button-down), and Strut & Bolt.

3. Basic tanks: A fresh tank is always a welcome addition to a summer wardrobe. Give shoppers a variety of elegant options from Weekend Los Angeles, like a silky ombre cami or a sleeveless mock-neck top, or discover something on the sexy side from woman-owned HIDDENBRAND. Think: a deep-V cami with shoulder ties and a body-hugging striped knit tank for nights out.

4. Sun hats: Sun hats will always be on-trend when summer comes. Just ask Vogue. Whether your shop is geared toward adults or kids, pick up protective gear for all from spots like BinkyBro and Flap Happy, which offers SPF-protected hats and caps for little ones, and Embellish Your Life for easy-to-pack straw bucket hats, visors, and more.

5. Sandals: Shoppers are kicking off their boots and slipping on something more comfortable for the summer season, like patent leather flip-flops from CCOCCI and the seriously bold air slides from Los Cabos. Remember how last month, rattan belts were all the rage? Now you can find this boho weave gracing the heels of sandals from Oasis Society, plus a slew of other embellished wedges, buckle-adorned flats, and knotted slides for a stylish summer season.
