Description
Compactness, fragrance and uniformity characterize Salina capers, buds that have not yet opened the flowers of a shrub that is the protagonist of the Aeolian landscape. Collected between May and August, they are laid out to dry in the cool on jute towels, then salted and “cured”, decanted from one tinedda to another to prevent the combined action of salt and heat from ruining them. Love the stuff we got, despite an item not being what we ordered, it was the run-around we got while ordering that put us off. Marked order as "shipped" but messaged to to say was going to be a month delay while they waiting to get product in stock, offered a replacement that WAS in stock for quicker ship in 3-5 days. 3 weeks later we reach out again because wouldn't track, were told replacement item waiting to be back in stock. Shipping was 120% cost of products, 5 weeks after order date.
