Description
The original Maine flag - which features a unique pine tree and star design - flew over Maine from 1901 to 1909. Now, more than a century after it was replaced, Mainers are beginning to display our state's first flag again. Our original Maine burgees are handmade in Maine by our parent company, the Maine Flag Company, using a traditional appliqué. This means that the tree and star are cut out and sewn directly onto each side of the flag field. No printing is involved. ALL ORIGINAL MAINE FLAGS ARE MADE IN DOWNTOWN PORTLAND.
