Description
by George P. Waldheim (Author) The Problem: The international ranking of the United States in education is described as "mediocre," SAT test scores (college admissions) are inexplicably low, and there is an accelerating exodus of students from elementary and high schools to other learning alternatives. Recognizably, students and parents are dissatisfied. This dissatisfaction is reinforced by the negative perception of students who have finished the system but vowed to never return and by the critical number of students who have just plain given up and dropped-out. The Reality: We are experiencing a strong public discontent with the realities of U.S. public education. Resultantly we are leaving part of the future of our nation to approximately four and a half million public school drop-outs per year. The Coronavirus Pandemic of 2020 limited the lives of approximately 365,000 people in the U.S. yet we are limiting the potential economic, social, and technological contributions to our nation of 4,500,000 former drop-out students every year with no effective solution. This negatively affects all of us and is reason enough for even the strongest dissenters to agree this is a problem that needs to be resolved. The Solution: The intention of this Guide is to improve student learning. It is written to help Parents, School Board Members, Administrators, Government, Business, Teachers, Students or anyone interested in education-to be able to promote the world proven processes of continuous improvement to student learning and educate more effectively. Thus the Guide: How to Improve Student Learning. Number of Pages: 210 Dimensions: 0.48 x 8.5 x 5.5 IN Publication Date: September 23, 2022
