It's located in the Daniel Campos Province in Potosi, in Southwest Bolivia. Our salt is pink because it has higher amounts of over 70 trace minerals and nutrients than the salt that you're probably using right now, primarily in calcium, potassium, magnesium, and iron. Traditional Uses: The Salar was formed as a result of transformations between several prehistoric lakes. It's covered by a few meters of salt crust, which has an extraordinary flatness, with average altitude variations within one meter over the entire area of the Salar. Cosmetic Uses: This salt makes a great exfoliant while adding nutrient-rich properties to your topical formulas. You can mallet the salt, to work it to a finer grain.
