Description
This traditionally made handloomed deep indigo kilim cushion cover with a cream base is inspired by the bazaars of the ancient Silk Road city of Samarkand. Contemporary enough for a loft apartment and yet also perfect for a house in the country, this cushion cover is part of one of our best-selling ranges. The high wool content allows vibrancy and depth of colour, also allowing greater detail to be incorporated into the design. 45 x 45cm 80% Wool & 20% Cotton Dry clean only. Our supplier is a long term member of GoodWeave, ensuring no child labour is employed in the entire supply chain. The company specialises in hand loom rugs, many of which are made from recycled sources. They provide the skilled weavers, many of whom are women, with well-paid work and much of the weaving is carried out in the weavers own homes. This allows them to earn money by working hours around other roles such as supporting a family or agricultural work.

When we ordered from Namaste, we didn't expect the package to arrive so quickly, as we are located in the US and they are in the UK. However, the package arrived to our store within a week and a half of the order being placed! The goods were all even more beautiful than we could have imagined, and the rugs smelled like spices and incense. Each piece was so beautiful, they're truly going to be the centerpieces of our store!
