The Redwork Embroidered George Shirt is an identical replica of our original vintage one made from an antique Redwork Quilt Top. Redwork embroideries became popular between 1885 and 1925. The stem stitch is the traditional stitch for Redwork that gives the effect of the artwork being sketched or drawn. This embroidered button down style is inspired by a classic Men’s fit, and perfect for any gender. It is made from 100% cotton fabric and fully lined with lightweight cotton. Wash Care: Machine (or Hand Wash) on COLD, gentle cycle. Machine Dry on low heat or lay flat to dry. Ensure not to wash on warm or hot to prevent chance of colorfast red embroidery threads bleeding at higher temperature.
