The original was stitched on a large canvas count using wool. Often it was so thick she could not make proper cross stitches. I checked all my overdyed linens to compare which matches the blotchy canvas and Zweigart's Vintage Country Mocha is a pretty close match. Use this as a guide when you choose a fabric. Stitched Area: 272 stitches wide by 312 high Fabric measurements and cut sizes: 14/28 count - design size is 19.50 x 22.25 cut fabric 25 by 28 inches 16/32 count - design size is 17.00 x 19.00 cut fabric 23 by 26 inches 18/36 count - design size is 15.25 x 17.25 cut fabric 21 by 23 inches 20/40 count - design size is 13.50 x 15.50 cut fabric 20 by 22 inches Thank you and happy stitching! ©The Wishing Thorn.
