Houjicha is a roasted Japanese green tea with a soothing and earthy profile. Roasting turns the green tea leaves to a reddish-brown color, removes bitterness, and imparts the tea's signature toasty aroma. Our houjicha is made from first flush tea leaves grown in an organic tea farm community within the Tenryu District known as "organic valley." It's rich in antioxidants and l-theanine. Presenting a medium-roast profile, houjicha offers a slightly less caffeinated experience than matcha. Enjoy hot or iced with your milk of choice.
