Our wild anise seeds, certified organic, are harvested near the city of Tabriz in the Kurdistan region by the farmer-gatherers of the cooperative supplying us with caraway, fennel, and cumin. They have a sweet aniseed aroma with notes of licorice and fennel. Small gray-brown seeds, ovoid in shape, grouped in clusters in the form of an umbrella in the white flowers of a plant that can reach 50 cm in height and prefers sunny locations. This is why it is mainly found in the Mediterranean basin, Iran, and India.
