A Unique Vintage Santon that came from a church In Provence. These terracotta figurines are popular in France at Christmas as these villagers accompany the nativity. At the bottom of the Christmas tree, you started to assemble all the villagers to wait for the Holy Child to be born. In many Provençal families, santons are a tradition that is still very much alive. “Santoun” means “little saint” in Provençal. This Santon is a female villager 12" Tall, 4" Wide, handmade Of Clay in France, and has a sealed signature of the Fabre House at the base.. She is one of a kind.
