Our rattan furniture is intended for restaurant use. It is crafted to the same standards as those found in the streets of Paris, France, matching those makers' quality, workmanship, and materials. Each piece is handmade in Indonesia—the birthplace of the rattan bistro chair. We use Manau rattan, grown and harvested in the Indonesian rainforests. It is known for its durability, strength, and weather-resistant qualities. Indonesia is the largest rattan producer in the world. Each piece of rattan is coated with PU-DOFF, a transparent solvent-based polyurethane resin that provides extra protection from UV rays. The unique coating is specially formulated to deliver a durable, protective layer to resist water and chemicals, making it UV-resistant.
