Bandharwals traditionally hang above doorways. They are decorative symbols of good luck meant to welcome everyone who passes through. The four hidden pockets in the Bandharwals are safe-keepers for keys, money, jewelry or letters. Tiny strands of Prosperity Hens hang between the pockets. Embellished with sequins, each Bandharwal is about 35" wide. Sizing varies slightly, as they are handmade. Assorted colours, in two or three colour combinations. Made in Rajasthan, India.

This company goes above and beyond in so many ways. It's a great small business to support, so you can feel really good about that too. All items are hand selected by the owner, who visits her homeland of India and talks to the workers and ensures fair trade practices. The products are always beautiful, and reflect the history and the beauty of an old culture and the people that share it with us through their products. I cannot recommend a better company than Indika!
