Ocean protection from Munich — Sustainable fashion startup MANTAHARI donates money for education and research to Indonesia by selling recycled & sustainable products. Become active against marine plastic — shop local, help global! The Munich-based fashion startup “Mantahari Oceancare” was founded in 2018 as a non-profit organization by Tim Noack. During his time as a diving guide in Southeast Asia, one topic in particular touched him: The pollution of the oceans by plastic waste. Much of the profits will be donated to a marine conservation organization in Indonesia that is dedicated to protecting marine life and, through research and science, seeks to educate local public and government to enable long-term environmental protection. The startup's product range includes, for example, caps made from recycled PET bottles. The sales price of 34.90 euros generates approx. €10 direct donation to Indonesia per direct product sale. A salary does not pay off for the founder.
