About Middleton’s Bitters

My name is Michelle Middleton, and I am the proud owner and creator of Middleton's Bitters. Like many others, I started this company four years ago during the pandemic. What began as a fun hobby quickly grew into a passion project and finally, a fully-fledged company. My professional background in the construction industry's sales and distribution equipped me with the knowledge needed to grow and develop brands. Although mixology is not my background, I find the liquor industry's history fascinating. Bitters, to me, represent the embodiment of our history, evoking the flavours of the prohibition era and the cocktail's evolution. However, I discovered that unique cocktail bitters were not readily available in the market. So, I began experimenting with different spices to create distinct flavour profiles, resulting in an exceptional product that I wanted to share with others. In February 2024 we were awarded multiple medals from The Canadian Artisanal Distillery Association which took us by surprise! Middleton's Bitters are handcrafted in small batches, and each batch is infused with unique spices to create distinct flavour profiles.
