[ day-us dee-try-tus ] DEUSDETRITUS is composed of one slowly decomposing organic form known as klaus evirytt. klaus is a transmasc nonbinary artist [he/him] who enjoys working in a variety of mediums & exploring a variety of subjects, but mainly: • death, decay and the cycle of life • creatures that facilitate said decay becoming new life • flowers, trees, other brilliant displays of what is born from detritus • LGBTQIA+ themes, specifically the transgender experience • anticapitalist & …existentialist material using these tools, primarily: acrylic paint, gel plate, silkscreen, graphite, micron, spraypaint, dye, digital photography, procreate, duct tape, dirt, flowers, determination. klaus has appeared in many markets around the charlottesville/richmond area for the past several years selling hand printed silkscreened shirts, stickers, art, prints, and more.
