She began her first foray into jewelry while attending nursing school, working as a designer’s apprentice during the day. Encouraged by her mother to create her own collection, she began exhibiting her work at trade shows, where she was soon discovered by agents in Atlanta and New York — and David Aubrey Jewelry was born in 1997. Within a few years, the brand was generating $3 million in annual sales, and Jennifer realized that her passion had become her livelihood. After outgrowing its first studio in SoHo, she moved her team to Jersey City and later to Bayonne, New Jersey, where the company continues to thrive. David Aubrey Jewelry is meticulously handcrafted from plated and oxidized brass, wood, semiprecious stones, vintage glass beads, resin, acrylic, pearls, and other elements that reflect the brand’s signature blend of texture,color, and ArtDeco influence.
