OUR HISTORY After a 30-year career in interior design, twenty of which took place in Spain, Numa Torres, influenced by Spanish society and culture, began to explore the world of footwear. Her biggest revelation was the Menorcan (or Avarcas) style of sandals. “I fell in love with Avarcas. Their history. Their comfort and versatility”, emphasizes the designer. Over the last few years, Numa has dedicated herself to expanding the sales and distribution of this style of footwear. Igniting her passion, it encouraged the foundation of her own brand, SPANIANS by Numa. Born and raised in Dominican Republic, Numa currently lives and designs her sandals from “The World's Fashion Capital”, New York City, USA. She started her own collection, inspired by the influence of important women in her life, who the different sandals are named after.
