I've been walking the path of an artist and designer for over a decade. For years, I worked as a creative designer, but over time I realized how much I missed working with my hands, creating offline, in rhythm with the earth. That longing brought me back to clay. I began hosting ceramic workshops that wove together somatic practices, meditation, and movement, transforming them into full sensory experiences that connect mind, body, and nature. The more workshops I led, the more I understood that I needed to deepen my own practice, not only in ceramics but also in painting and storytelling. Eventually, I felt called to step away from corporate work. While I still love design and continue to take it on, I knew I needed something more expansive. In August of 2025, I launched Holy Dirt Studio, a home for my ceramics, paintings, and workshops. This space is my deepest calling, a way of bringing earth, color, and story together to help others find stillness and a connection to the land. Best, DessaRead their story
