Description
The Jayan hand painted 4 drawer mango wood chest features cute elephant figures in full regalia. Portrayed with joyful upturned trunks representing good luck, they dance among gold-leafed vines and red/white flowers. The backdrop of blue highlights the imagery perfectly and the natural Indian wood feet also offer contrast. Match with other items in the Jayan range to create a thoughtful gift set for a new nursery perhaps, or a child's special celebration. 22 x 11 x 20cm. Main wood used is mango wood, which is sustainably coppiced. Based in jodhpur, the company was established in 2004 and has become a leading indian supplier of good quality, handmade, hand painted wooden crafts. Supporting a small, dedicated workforce of around 15 artisans, several of whom have been there on a long-term basis.

When we ordered from Namaste, we didn't expect the package to arrive so quickly, as we are located in the US and they are in the UK. However, the package arrived to our store within a week and a half of the order being placed! The goods were all even more beautiful than we could have imagined, and the rugs smelled like spices and incense. Each piece was so beautiful, they're truly going to be the centerpieces of our store!
