This decorative cushion design is based on a traditional Moroccan tile motif. The entire front surface of the cushion is covered with crewel embroidery. This hand stitching technique follows the contour of the design and emphasises the shape of the motif in chain stitch, creating a raised textural quality. Each cushion is framed with little handmade pompoms. Our crewel embroidered designs are made by skilled artisans in Kashmir, North India, an area renowned for this intricate hand craft.
