Handmade on Mersea Island, using Chamomile and Bergamot Essential Oils, as well as olive oil infused with Chamomile and dried calendula for decoration. Chamomile contains powerful anti-oxidants and when applied to the skin, may help reduce signs of aging, accelerating cell and tissue renewal. It has a warm, herbaceous scent, which promotes sleep. Known as the 'prince of citrus', the sunny and pleasant citrus scent of Bergamot is the overriding fragrance in this soap. Bergamot essential oil has antibacterial properties and works as a natural cleaner, particularly good for oily skin. These bars are creamy and moisturising, while remaining hard from the addition of beeswax, meaning they last longer. This soap also has local honey in it, which adds lather.
