Cork is an amazing material! Insulating, heat resistant and besides that it does not burn. All our cork items are produced at a small family factory in Portugal with great care for the environment and their heritage. The cork trees are cared for with great love and the bark is harvested approximately every 9 years, which makes it a very slow way of farming.
