The silent classic The Phantom of the Opera was one of the first movies of its kind and introduced Gothic horror to the world. Lon Chaney was considered the man of a thousand faces in the golden era of Hollywood. His son Lon Chaney Jr. soon picked up the mantel and started to make monster movies that we know and love.
