Our "Wear Your Heart" Cameo brooches are beautifully crafted papercasts, hand-painted and gilded. The Cameos are just under 2" in size, and the button magnets make them the perfect lightweight clasp for scarves. Cameos never go out of style for year-round wear, and make great Mother's Day and birthday gifts. The random assortment includes a variety of vintage and jewel tone colour treatments. Brooches are individually packaged in a cello bag with header label and magnet instructions on the back. Once molded, the paperclay (recycled paper) is dried to form a stiff, very durable and beautifully detailed piece. We coat them in a high-resin (non-tacky) beeswax for long-lasting wear. Small button magnets secured to the back let you wear the brooch without pinning your fabric. Just place the thin magnetic backing piece inside your blouse, scarf, etc., and the brooch on the other side, and viola! Magnet holds the brooch very securely. (And yes, we also use them as fridge magnets!)
