The lighter itself harkens back to the 1940s trench lighter, a design inspired by the field-made lighters soldiers created during World War I. Machined from high-quality solid brass components, it features a built-in snuffer cap, wind guard, replaceable flint, felt reservoir, and an O-ring on the bottom screw cap to prevent leaking — all designed for durability and long-term use. Each refillable lighter is new and never fueled, making it safe for shipping and gifting. Every piece comes with a signed and dated certificate of authenticity from the artisan.
