Our Basil Pesto is a 100% Made In Italy product made with freshly picked leaves from our lands in Puglia A really tasty product made with basil from our certified organic farm and with the addition of Almonds and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Freshly picked basil leaves are used for the production of pesto. After washing them, they are cooked in boiling water until they become tender. They are then drained, squeezed and left to cool. Once cold, they are blended with almonds until creamy. When you open the jar, you can immediately smell the fresh scent of basil. The taste is particularly intense, to which is added a crunchy note of almond. Our Basil Pesto is excellent for seasoning Orecchiette and other types of Pasta and is ideal for a Vegan Diet as it does not contain Cheese
