Durable and sturdy espadrilles You tell us from the great feedback you give us: the average lifespan of our espadrilles is three seasons. * The espadrille sole is made of braided jute for perfect comfort. Jute is a reed whose fiber, once dried, becomes very flexible and can be made into a rope. Jute also has the advantage of being hypoallergenic, allowing you to wear espadrilles barefoot. It is also eco-friendly as it requires no treatment and is natural. * A layer of non-slip rubber is added: it extends the lifespan of the espadrille and makes it suitable for city walking. * All fabrics used are 100% cotton and lined for optimal durability: they come from the Phnom Penh market for the interior lining. The Ratanakiri Kramas we use for our Ratanakiri espadrilles are entirely handwoven. * The assembly of our espadrilles is entirely handmade for a solid structure: the visible stitching, a signature of our espadrilles, is the product of patience and the dexterity of an expert hand. Ethical and supportive espadrilles * Two teams of artisans at Amboh Espadrilles are mobilized for the production of each pair, which requires about an hour and a half of work. * One scarf, One skill: Krama Ratanakiri entirely handwoven in the pure Cambodian tradition, in the Ratanakiri Province in Northeast Cambodia. You support a cooperative from the five Tampuan villages working under ethical and fair conditions. * One scarf, One smile: for each pair of espadrilles ordered, we fund 4 hours of teaching at the remedial school of For a Child's Smile in Phnom Penh.
