It often features many different colors, and it works into some truly amazing cabochons! It takes an excellent polish and generally cuts fracture free! It is a personal favorite of mine, and I have never been let down while cutting up batches of these! They can also make awesome pendants or can be great for wire wrapping projects! Mexican Velvet Obsidian can also be tumbled with great results! This tends to remove the skin and let more light in so you can see the color better, and it also takes a mirror grade polish as it is a volcanic glass!
