It is generally more expensive because only the best raw hides are used. This leather becomes more beautiful over time and will develop a natural patina. This leather starts very structured but becomes more malleable and supple with consistent usage. A natural characteristic of this leather allows heat and natural oils from your body to be absorbed because there is no pigment or polyurethane which is typically used on lesser quality leathers.
