This intricately designed purse is made with recycled Zari bridal sarees worn by women on their wedding day. The producer group purchases these old sarees and cuts them into patches to produce new textile items. By re-purposing this scrap fabric, our artisans are saving these gorgeous textiles from going into a landfill. Zari is traditional embroidery technique in which a tinsel thread is weaved through fabric to create complex patterns. Due to the recycled nature of this product, each one is completely unique!
