About Zoe Rae Art

Zoe was born in Northern California and raised in Hawai’i. Growing up in Hawai’i her childhood was always spent outdoors which is where her love for nature started. Zoe has always loved painting and drawing. Her first memory is of her mom telling her it was time to learn how to write her name but she wanted to learn how to draw tulips first. It wasn’t until Zoe was in college that someone asked to buy one of her paintings. Thus Zoe Rae Art was created. She taught art for five years while working on her art as a side business. It wasn’t until this past year that she decided it would be her last year of teaching and to make Zoe Rae Art her career. Zoe currently lives in Colorado which has been inspiring her newest pieces of art. She feels that to paint a landscape you have to physically be there to know how to express it. This is why her work is of the places she has lived and traveled to.Read their story
