My stress from graduate school rotations and failing classes mix with my dog’s “modeling” career while being fueled by my love of science. Science has always been my passion and I am a dog mom through and through, so I started making nerdy gear. Then I thought, maybe some other nerds out there would be interested in these products too. SciPaws was born! I’m a black, female scientist as well as an entrepreneur. I stand as a social justice advocate, while teaching others about interesting science topics. I’m authentic and share my struggles with mental health and my reactive dog so people don’t feel like they’re alone. SciPaws is about exploring ones own curiosity and always showing compassion. It’s also about being comfortable with who you are, no matter how others preserve you.
