About Handshucked

While the inception of Handshucked Designs stemmed from a joke between friends some years ago, Chris Higgins, a trained graphic artist, has become quite serious about establishing his style with original art + designs he creates under the Handshucked name today. After more than a decade working as a commercial designer in Key West, Chris shifted his focus from exclusively helping others’ craft their identities, to creating his own. A breadtruck-turned-studio at COAST’s original location on Stock Island, FL - while lacking operable wheels of its own - proved to be just the spot for Chris to get Handshucked rolling. Many of the ideas and themes Chris started to work on in that tiny studio have grown into what has become the definition of his style in the present day. Handshucked combines bold illustration with elements of graffiti and pop art while finding inspiration in dynamic, yet simplified design…and most often, a good joke.Read their story
