Naples, Via Cavallerizza a Chiaia, 1946 A small shop of refined custom-made items opens for the first time in the heart of Naples. Grandmother Rosa, guardian of the oldest Neapolitan manufacturing tradition, began here to create unique products destined to enrich the elegant and exclusive style of the high Neapolitan nobility. Thus, a true school of high craftsmanship was born in the old shop of Chiaia. Leatherworking is a passion passed down in the family, a true tradition. Gaetano, the eleventh child, combines his extraordinary experience and tradition with international high fashion brands until the early 90s, when he decides not to pursue technological advancement and industrial production anymore, but to restore the old machines and teach his children the ancient artisanal techniques of leather and hide processing. An indissoluble bond ties the history of Vincenzo Bonino and the birth of his company where, starting from a love for craftsmanship and attention to detail, he turned his passion into a profession and his creations into art, carrying on a production that still today is that of the "handmade" item.
