It is native to Australia, a national icon and the state bird of Western Australia. Swans are symbols for many beautiful qualities such as grace, purity, love and freedom and Black Swans are also linked to occult symbolism. Swans usually mate for life and only when a partner dies may they take up another partner. This scarf design, with its white background, highlights a special moment captured on film.
