Description
This bold and unusual bird gets its name due to the distinctive white halo around its head. Using the seedpods of the ulumbu tree, Zimbabwean artists have created these charming little birds. Standing on hand twisted wire feet, they are between 3-4" tall and are handpainted in the rich bright colors of each bird's plumage. It's difficult to find authentic hand crafted folk art that is new to our customers, at least. Especially in the price points some of MBARE hits. Their photos truly represented the products and the pieces were well packed. I anticipate becoming a repeat customer.
